By talking to the innkeeper at Troskovitz, players can get a rough idea of where the hermit is located, but the exact coordinates won't be provided. Check the search area on the map; the hermit is situated in the southwestern part of the yellow search area in the Apolonia Mountains. Follow the small path to reach the hermit's hut. Depending on the time of day, the hermit may appear in the hut or outside in the yard, and he may refuse to talk. Defeating him or stealing can reward players with "The Diary of Knight Conrad," revealing that the real hermit has already died.
