In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, the side quest "Frogs and Mice" serves as a follow-up to either the "Frog" or "Mouse" quest. Upon completing one of these quests, players will unlock this unique task. This guide aims to assist players in navigating through the intricacies of this side quest, enriching your gaming experience.
Regardless of whether you completed the "Frog" or "Mouse" quest, interacting with the characters after finishing their respective tasks will trigger the "Frogs and Mice" quest. As the saying goes, "It is better to settle disputes than to escalate them." You can choose to help resolve the conflict by selecting the dialogue option “Don’t you want to reconcile? → I will try to mediate the conflict.” However, if you decide against helping, prepare for a confrontation where you might have to fight one of the parties involved.
To initiate the mediation process, travel to Troskovitz and speak with the governor. Choose the dialogue option, “Von Pohlgard will reward you,” to flatter him, and then head to the town hall to review the "Chronicles." You will find the "Chronicles" to the right of the scribe; turn to the last page to see some Latin text. Ask the scribe for translation and select the term "Fecit."
Next, proceed to the farm, where a large tree marked in green on the map will lead you to the iron nail. If you lean towards one side, you can move the nail to another tree, but since your goal is to reconcile both parties, it’s advisable to leave the nail untouched.
After finding the nail, return to the governor for a dialogue, then summon both parties to the farm where the governor will mediate the reconciliation. This approach not only resolves the conflict but also deepens your character's involvement in the story.
