Kingdom Come: Deliverance II: Recommended Starting Path for Players
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II offers a relatively high degree of freedom, allowing players to explore the map at their own pace early on. Below are some recommended starting routes brought to you by "Pure Mine Card," which we hope will assist you in your journey.
1. Store Your Money Before Facing the Minor Lord
Before challenging the minor lord, make sure to deposit your money in the camp chest to avoid losing it in the duel.
2. Navigate the Initial Town
Once you have the freedom to explore the starting town, locate the beggar girl who calls to you to learn about the public cat. Steal a horse from the town, passing by Semit. During your time in Semit, engage in verbal sparring to obtain the horse named Little Gray. Afterward, head to the Lower Semit Mill and join the miller in learning to steal. Practice lock-picking during the day until you reach level 9 (make sure to bring a dagger lockpick found near a chest). At night, steal from the mill to acquire the horses.
3. Ride to Retrieve Your Hidden Funds
Gallop straight to the camp to retrieve the money you've hidden (use the cover of darkness to stealthily eliminate nearby bandits). Here, you'll find barrels of alcohol and beds that can be used to drink endlessly and level up.
(During this route, two bandits will regularly spawn, providing early combat gear. Be sure to save your game before engaging in combat.)
4. Steal the Camp’s Horse
Once you have successfully stolen a horse from the camp, make your way back to the Wanderer’s Camp to sell the stolen horse.
Starting Off with Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
At this point, you'll have over 1000 groschen. Purchase some dried food, learn the Master Strike from the cat, and then go to the blacksmith to buy a tier 3 weapon. After that, do whatever you feel like. You can practice lockpicking in the starting town or dive straight into quests—either option works.
The Kingdom Come series has a unique progression where early on, you may find yourself short on cash and dealing with jail time, but mid-game, you can engage in various morally gray activities. This path provides a comfortable playstyle within the game, allowing you to complete these tasks within three in-game days while also honing your lockpicking and Master Strike skills.
