Unlocking Hidden Skills and Talents in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, hidden skills and talents must be gained through specific methods. For players looking to unlock these skills, here is a guide from "Old Dreams Lost Words XD" that will help you gain hidden skills effectively. This article will introduce quick methods to master these hidden abilities, making the process more enjoyable.
Alchemy
The unlocking condition for the Alchemist resident skill requires you to brew 20 potions. Since brewing a Strong Potion gives you 3 potions at once, you can unlock this skill by brewing the Strong Marigold Potion 7 times at the start. If you didn’t brew them at the beginning, don’t worry! Simply choose the Mystery of Items and brew 5 Strong Potions to reach the total of 20.
Survival
The Resistance skill requires you to gather approximately 180 nightshades or nettles, as these are toxic plants essential for unlocking the skill. You might need some patience and persistence to collect these herbs efficiently.
Exploring the Forests in the Northwest of Troskyvits
We venture into the forests located in the northwest of Troskyvits. Here, you will find plenty of henbane and nettles. If you find the gathering animations tedious, you can install a mod to skip the grass gathering animations. This process can be quite dull, which is why we can allocate points into the Level 10 Unexpected Harvest skill. This skill allows you to have a chance to gather additional herbs or small treasures when collecting grass. For instance, I managed to find a ring and an arrow during my collection—this sense of anticipation and surprise made the dull moments much more bearable. If you’re looking to also enhance your survival experience while gathering, in addition to the Fox Potion, you can invest in the Natural Wonders skill to increase your survival experience gain by 20%.

Location for Acquiring Hidden Skills
To find the location of hidden skills in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, head southwest of Kuttenburg, near the northwest of Old Lota, specifically at the ruins of the Rabsztan mill. If you find it troublesome to deal with the bandits, you can choose to come during the night and head directly to the main hall. After consuming a strange potion, you will gain the Tartar Beef skill. Be mindful that this potion can cause poisoning and health reduction, so make sure to prepare the digestion potion in advance (you can find saving potions and digestion potions on the table).
Crafting Skills
To acquire the blacksmithing skill: You need to forge a total of 10 items. It is recommended to craft axes since they are wide and easy to hit. If you lack materials, you can alternatively forge horseshoes. This will also allow you to complete the blacksmith task line.
Stealing Skills
The pickpocketing skill: Requires players to steal items with a cumulative value of 10,000 Groschen.
Stealth Skills Enhancement
Initially, I recommend investing in the "Flight of the Phantom" perk to improve theft fault tolerance and the "Master Thief" perk to increase theft efficiency. If your level is not high enough to unlock these perks, consider reading books to unlock the "Wisdom Crystal" at level 8, which can boost your theft experience gain by 20%.
Horse Riding Techniques
After performing a verbal trick and returning to Little Grey, you can unlock the companion Little Grey's skill by riding 35 kilometers. I recommend heading directly to the horse farm northwest of Semy, following the paths shown in the video, and cycling through second gear to accumulate experience. If you want to speed up the process, consider activating a pathfinder perk and pressing shift to sprint. A complete circle is about half a kilometer; in-game, I completed this from the afternoon to the next morning.
Similarly, to unlock the "Red Herring" skill, you need to ride approximately 55 kilometers.
Once you have unlocked two skills, you can meet the requirement to unlock the "Horse Explorer" skill by riding around 70 kilometers.
Combat Techniques
- Focus on mastering the timing of attacks and dodges.
- Develop stamina management to maintain effectiveness in prolonged combat.
- Utilize the environment for strategic advantages during battles.
Hidden Skills and Talents in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
In the coffin nail mission, we battle with the fighting master from Kuttenberg, the grave digger František. After winning, we learn the uppercut skill, and then find the skill trainer to learn the shoulder throw.
There is also a riding skill that I have yet to find the acquisition method for, as well as the weapon pass for Kuttenberg. If anyone knows about these, feel free to share in the comments!
(These two skills might be obsolete or could be introduced in future updates.)
