Horse Riding Mission in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
The Horse Riding Mission is a main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Completing certain conditions in this quest can also unlock the "Old Crow" achievement. Below is a guide on the Horse Riding Mission provided by user “貼吧用戶_JtStyKN”, which I hope can assist everyone. This mission allows players to explore the castle at their own pace to uncover clues and truths, making it quite interesting. However, there is a time limit for this quest, and achievements can easily be missed. Here, I provide most clues I found and what I believe to be the simplest strategy for the achievements.
Exploration in the Castle
After the horse race with Capon, you can opt for a quick travel, even with slight variations in dialogues. Once you are free to roam the castle, the countdown begins. The first priority is to walk forward in the castle to converse with Clara.
Collecting Herbs
During the journey, Henry reminisces about the glorious deeds of the first game. Upon arriving at the location, choose to agree to collect herbs. Marigold is easy to find, while poppy and sage are located here as well.
Achieving Self-Respect
After Clara thanks Henry profusely, he mentions that his self-esteem was somewhat restored after being told no by the wedding lady.
Directing Towards Completion
Upon reopening the game, here we can directly opt to pursue the achievement. If you seek continuity, first gather clues and leave this step for last. After separating from Clara, do not return to the castle but talk to the stableman here and agree to race. When the race starts, head back to the castle immediately, since our opponent is the guard in front of the prison door, we can easily send him away to let him play with the horses.
Unlocking Clues
Upon entering the castle, turn right and pick the lock to find the true Lord, which will unlock the achievement. If you do not have enough skill to pick locks, go upstairs to grab the key from the table. You can also complete the horse race and take a shortcut down, and there will still be time. The race will reward you with a nice saddle.

Exploring Weapon Clues in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
In your journey, you can investigate weapon clues in various locations including the second floor of the kitchen, the tower (go upstairs from where you obtained the key), and the small house as you walk down from the castle (inside the small house, you can find Laipey's shield, which can later be returned to Capon).
There are also several competition activities: the horse race, an archery contest at the city gate that rewards a powerful crossbow with 200 strength, sword fighting with the lieutenant that awards spurs, and dice games. Clues arising from conversations include speaking with the stableman outside the city, the farmer who stops you, the blacksmith inside the city, as well as the lieutenant and various guards. You can confront them with any contradictions in their statements based on your findings; any loss of reputation here does not affect other villages.
Testing has shown that if you do not get too distracted, all of these tasks can be accomplished in one go without triggering Capon to end the discussion and eject you from the castle. In a more chaotic attempt, entering the city and starting a fight results in Capon running away from the meeting room after some time, making further dialogue impossible and leaving Henry to face ten enemies alone. After returning to Trosky, there will be no significant repercussions, and the siege will proceed as expected.
When you meet Capon again to report back, there is a notable moment when Borh asks what has happened in your territory, which brings up side stories from Henry's past. Clearing all side quests leaves players satisfied, but unfortunately, only one can be reported.
Do not choose Semi too early as it has significant implications. Additionally, avoiding options related to commoners and village disputes will increase your reputation. If you select the crusader option (related to the blacksmith quest), there is a peculiar detail. When Borh asks if there is any evidence, the standard response indicates that Conrad has fled. However, if you have the hermit's diary found on the second floor in your bag, an extra option to hand over the diary will appear, rewarding you with 200 coins—a remarkable detail indeed.
Guide to Completing the Horse Riding Main Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
After completing the task, deliver the shield from Laibach to Capon; this will ensure that Capon has a shield for his character going forward.
