Masterpiece Side Quest
The Masterpiece quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a lengthy side quest. Below is a guide aimed to assist you through the Masterpiece side quest in the game.
Quest Steps
Head to the Zeleznov Farm and look for the bathhouse owner, but none of them agree to assist you. Next, go to the camp to gather information, where you will find Ennelin. She requests some wine, which you should have in your inventory by now. If not, you can purchase it from the merchant at the camp (the character sitting behind Ennelin in the image below).
Once you reach Troskovice, you can either buy mint perfume from the tavern owner or steal it while she is sleeping. Alternatively, you can find a herbalist to buy a recipe and craft the mint perfume yourself.
Additionally, visit the tailor to purchase a Tyrolean silk dress. The dress is located on the table behind him; you can sneak around to grab it when he isn’t paying attention. Just remember to save your game beforehand.
Getting Ready for the Wedding
First, visit the tailor to buy clothes and dress yourself. Then ask if the outfit is suitable for attending the wedding. Be cautious, as you cannot wear armor to the wedding.
Bring the long dress and perfume to Ennerlin at the camp, then head to the wedding.
Find the steward at Trosky Castle to accept the quest "Trosky's Demon", which will grant you permission to move freely around the castle. It is advisable to look for the book for the miller during this quest.
Talk to the scribe Elrazim to learn that the book was lost by Nickvard. Elrazim is also a skills tutor.
Engage in conversation with the chef Berta, maid Regina, and worker Hirsch.
Finding the Longsword
In your quest, Hirsh will require you to provide him with a longsword (short swords will not suffice) before he agrees to talk to you. If you do not have one, you can find a wooden longsword next to the tournament grounds.
Locating the Book
After speaking with the three individuals mentioned earlier, you should find the scribe who will inform you that the book most likely fell into the toilet. Exit the city through the main gate and proceed to the wall outside the toilet to discover the body of Nikvard. The book is located beside the corpse.
You can then report Nikvard's situation to the scribe and the steward, who will arrange for the body to be collected. Additionally, you can inform the three servants you previously spoke with about Nikvard’s fate.
Returning the Book
Once you hand the book over to the mill owner, you will have the option to decide whether or not to report the matter to the regent.
If You Don't Reveal the Truth
If you do not expose the truth and directly go to the hideout to meet the miller, the miller, Bonnie, and Zineck will tell you the truth and demonstrate the explosion of black powder. After completing the quest, you will receive the lead bullet powder recipe.
If You Do Reveal the Truth
If you choose to expose the truth to the governor, the miller, Bonnie, and Zineck will be hanged inside the hideout. You can loot some items from them.
