How to Resolve NPC Dialog Issues in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
Players in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II have encountered issues with NPCs getting stuck and unable to engage in dialogues, leading to some quests being uncompletable. Below are the solutions brought to you by “Runtia_C” to help you overcome these NPC dialog problems.
Currently, I am still on the first map, but I've already encountered two locations with NPCs that are stuck and unresponsive. One is the innkeeper in the starting village, and the other is the speaker at the Cumans' camp. This significantly affects the overall gaming experience.
My solution approach is to forcibly reset the NPCs to break them out of their current state. Here are the steps:
- Knock out the NPC using punches or a choke from behind.
- Remove the NPC's gear. Use a toolbox from your backpack to repair the clothing and weapons, then place them back on the NPC.
(The reason for repairing and placing them back is purely my own obsessive-compulsive tendency, ensuring that when the NPC wakes up, they can wear their original equipment instead of running around naked.) In theory, just stripping the clothes would suffice, but the process of removing them is essential! If you simply knock them out without removing their clothes, they will remain stuck when you wake them up.)
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve NPC dialog issues and enhance your gameplay experience in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II!
How to Wake Up Unresponsive NPCs in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
To wake up NPCs who have been knocked out and make them continue their daily routines, simply have another NPC discover them. Once the NPC is awakened, they will exclaim something along the lines of "I’ve been robbed! My clothes have been stripped!" and then immediately put on their original outfit. They will then run back to their designated location. This method allows the NPC to resume normal activities such as talking, progressing in quests, and training.
I have successfully used this technique to restore the daily routines of the innkeeper and three out of five individuals from the Cumans camp. The remaining two frozen Cumans have not been tested yet, but it should be feasible. I hope this helps anyone encountering similar situations.
