How to Complete the Fire and Destruction Side Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
The Fire and Destruction side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a challenging but rewarding experience. How can you successfully complete this quest? Below is a guide provided by "Pande the Chosen Swordsman" that aims to help you out.
This side quest can be accepted at the Sigismund Camp, where Captain Puta will take you to a nearby village to gather food supplies. It is best to start this mission immediately after accepting it. Once you finish the cutscene, you can move freely. Don’t rush to kill Captain Puta right away, as the village leader will complain that you're ruining their plans. Instead, proceed to collect information.
If your charisma is high enough, you can get the locations of hidden food supplies directly from the village leader. There is a cellar in the village that hides beer, and at this point, you have the option to load all the food onto your cart. However, it may not be very useful, as the greedy Captain is here to make a profit. Seeing how poor the villagers are makes him eager to resort to violence. This is your chance to help the villagers, and they will be very grateful for your assistance.
Assisting a Wounded Young Man in the Village
During the search in the village, you can help a wounded young man. After healing him, you will gain information about the previous taxation squad's whereabouts. Their bodies are shown in the image below. You can choose to report the villagers to the captain.
I do not recommend immediately taking down the captain because the villagers still hold onto the hope that by giving some food, they can convince these bandits to leave. Unfortunately, Captain Putna is a greedy scoundrel; even if you take out all the hidden food of the villagers, it will not be enough. To make him go, you have to contribute more yourself (you can go hunting, as there are wolf and wild boar spots nearby). Afterward, he will even share the profits with you. In short, he is looking to profit from this mission.
