Fishing Techniques for Large Fish in Monster Hunter Wilds

In Monster Hunter Wilds, large fish such as the Great King Mackerel and the Gluttonous Tuna provide valuable materials when caught. Below are fishing techniques for large fish brought to you by "vince50108," hoping to help everyone out.

Tips for Catching Large Fish

  1. Follow the Fish's Movement: Move the joystick in the direction the fish swims (or press the corresponding button). Be careful as the line will break if the fish goes around obstacles; in this case, you need to pull in the opposite direction to force the fish to turn.
  2. React to Fish Jumping: When the fish jumps out of the water, push the joystick in the direction of the jump (left, right, or forward), and then press RT.
  3. Reel in When Tired: Repeat the above two points until the fish is exhausted. It will eventually stop, allowing you to reel it in quickly.

Repeat these three key points, and once you get close to the shore, you'll have successfully caught the fish. You can find five types of large fish at the seaside of Area 17 in the Crimson Forest.
