How to Optimize Your Insect Glaive Setup in Monster Hunter Wilds
In Monster Hunter Wilds, players can choose from various weapons, and one of them is the Insect Glaive. How should you set it up? Below is a guide brought to you by “Fugoki,” sharing a physical critical hit Insect Glaive setup, which we hope will be helpful to everyone.
Equipment and Jewel Setup
After overcoming the Frenzy Virus and triggering the Challenger skill, you can follow this panel and skill setup:
- Weapon innate: 15% critical hit + 25% from overcoming Frenzy + 7% from Challenger
- Includes Rebound (which can trigger when you are hit and counters, giving a sense of confidence that you can achieve cool counterattacks, though in reality, it's mostly triggered through being hit).
- Also features Combo, which can give a solid +9 attack power for just one level!
- And finally, Precision Strike is included for additional damage boosts.
Mechanical Weapon Upgrades
Investing in upgrades for your mechanical weapons is crucial for maximizing damage. Understanding how to enhance your weapons can make a significant difference in your hunting efficiency.
Optimizing Jewels for Enhanced Performance
I believe these two jewels can be optimized by switching to Fayen Attack Jewel and Attack Jewel 3 to create an Attack Jewel 4. This change might slightly affect the feel and comfort due to the loss of Focus skill. The reason for this adjustment is that I haven't been able to get the Fayen Attack Jewel (while my friend consistently gets it, though he uses a Charge Blade).
As for the other jewel selection, I’ve been obtaining Speed Change Jewels instead. This presents a challenge when trying to optimize my build effectively.
