Introduction
In Monster Hunter Wilds, many items require players to collect various materials for crafting. So, how can you efficiently gather these materials? Below, let's take a look at the effective material farming methods brought to you by "sodaash," which we hope will be useful for everyone.
Material Farming Tips
The material reset time on the map is 15 minutes, but in reality, you can just switch to another map and then return to refresh the materials immediately, without having to wait for the cooldown. This means that by hopping between two maps, you can ignore the 15-minute cooldown altogether.
Additionally, it's best to gather materials near campsites. This way, you can quickly teleport back and forth between two camps to farm a large amount of materials in a short time.
For example, for capturing materials like tranquilizers:
- Area 10 in the Sandy Plains has Sleepgrass near the campsite.
- Area 7 in the Forest has Paralysis Mushrooms near the bottom right campsite.
By teleporting back and forth between these two camps, you can continuously farm tranquilizer materials very quickly.

Gathering Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds
In the wind village located in the middle of the sandy area, head up and towards the left to find a bunch of Thunderbugs that can be used to create paralysis traps.
By farming these, you'll gather plenty of useful early-game materials such as paralysis traps, capture balls, honey, and more. Similarly, as long as materials are near the campsite, they can be farmed. The further you progress in the game, the more items you will be able to collect.
However, it's advisable to gather just enough materials for your needs at the moment, as spending too much time farming now might not be efficient when exploring later maps.
