The Fiery Tail Dragon is one of the large monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds. For players looking for tips on how to defeat it, below are strategies and material drops brought to you by "Wioud". We hope this information is helpful.
Monster Information
The Fiery Tail Dragon is a beast of the Beast Dragon species, featuring an impressively large tail that is disproportionate to its body length. It spreads flammable volatile substances and creates sparks by rubbing its tail against the ground, igniting fires.
This monster rarely hunts actively; instead, it prefers to scavenge carcasses of herbivorous creatures captured by other monsters and frequently competes with smaller carnivorous dragons for food.
Appearance Location
Heavenly Rift Sand Plains.
Weakness
The weakness of the Fiery Tail Dragon is its neck area. While it may prove challenging to attack normally, it is advisable to focus on its breakable parts to create wounds and then unleash a full attack on its weak point when it is down.
The Flame Tail Dragon's Weak Points
The head and tail of the Flame Tail Dragon can be broken. Destroying the head will guarantee the material Flame Tail Dragon's Crown, while breaking the tail will ensure the material Flame Tail Dragon's Tail.

Response Strategies Against Attacks
One of the key attacks to watch out for is the Tail Sweep. Before executing this attack, the Fiery Dragon will raise its rear, and visible sparks will appear from its tail. As soon as you see these sparks, move away from the direction the Fiery Dragon is facing to successfully avoid the attack.
Tail Smash
Before using this move, the Inferno Tail Dragon will sway its tail while raising it high, then quickly smash it down to the ground. We have a long reaction time from when we see the tail being lifted to when it crashes down.
Charge
This move has an insignificant wind-up. After a brief charge, the Inferno Tail Dragon will dash directly toward its target; just before reaching the target, it will slam its head into the ground. Taking advantage of the recovery time after this move allows us to deal significant damage to its weak points.
Head Slam
This move has a clear recovery phase. First, the Inferno Tail Dragon will make a noise and raise its head while remaining stationary. Upon seeing this wind-up, it's essential to move away from the direction the dragon is facing. After the wind-up, the dragon will slam its head into the ground, causing area damage.

Flame-Tailed Dragon Strategies
The Flame-Tailed Dragon stretches its mouth wide and raises its head. As soon as you notice this pre-attack animation, step back from its vicinity. After the animation ends, the Flame-Tailed Dragon will bite in its line of sight.
Spinning Thrust
When the Flame-Tailed Dragon is about to use this move, it lowers both its head and tail while letting out a roar to charge up. After this pre-attack animation, it will rush forward in its line of sight, first biting and then following up with a tail swipe combo.
