Side Quest - Fishing is Life
Head into the Crimson Forest base and continue moving inward until you reach a small pond. Here, you will find Kaniya fishing, marked with a yellow icon above her head. Talk to her to accept the side quest Fishing is Life.
Open your item menu and select the fishing rod from the fixed items page. Then, go to the location where you accepted the quest and start fishing.
Cast the rod into the pond and move the bait next to the fish using the movement keys. This greatly increases your chances of success.
Fishing Mechanics in Monster Hunter Wilds
When a fish bites, you'll notice distinct water ripples. At this point, simply pull the rod to complete a fishing attempt, then interact with the quest-giving NPC to finish this side mission.
