Footprint Lizard
The environmental creature capture quests in Monster Hunter Wilds require players to catch some hard-to-find creatures, such as the Footprint Lizard and Sand Meteor. Below is a guide to capturing environmental creatures brought to you by "hinet951159," which will hopefully be helpful to everyone.
Monster Hunter Wilds Guide
To start capturing environmental creatures, it is recommended to wear stealth gear to avoid scaring them away.
Footprint Lizard
The first creature to catch is the Footprint Lizard, part of the Daryl's quest. The recommended location is at the Oasis in Zone 13 of the Sand Sea.
After flying to the Oasis, follow the edge of the area to find a Footprint Lizard that looks like the one in the picture. Then, use a capture net and throw it towards the creature to complete the mission!
```Capturing the Elegant Bird
The second creature to capture is the Elegant Bird as requested by Sam. The recommended location is the Crimson Forest, specifically near Camp 17 by the lakeside.
There are plenty of quest objectives around the campsite.
Use a capture net and throw it towards it; the quest will be completed!
Capturing the Flame Umbrella Lizard
The third creature to capture is the Flame Umbrella Lizard as requested by Daril. The recommended capturing spot is near the high road ruins in the Oil Spring Valley's Fourth Zone.
After jumping from the high platform, it should appear in this area without any issues; exploring around will help you find it. It has a somewhat fluorescent green color.
Snowball Bug
The fourth creature to capture is the Snowball Bug, which is a quest assigned by Samir. The recommended location to find it is on the Ice Mist Cliffs near the base camp.
Proceed towards the seventh area and jump down. After wandering around the seventh area, you should catch a glimpse of the Snowball Bug. This creature is characterized by pushing a round snowball as it moves.
Once you spot it, use the capture net and throw it at the bug, completing the quest!
Void Konga
The fifth creature to catch is the Void Konga, a quest given by Daryl. Notably, there is a similar creature known as Void Tongo, but we need to focus on capturing the larger, blue-colored Void Konga.
Location of the Void Furry
The Void Furry can be found on the wall of the Dragon City Ruins, but it does not always spawn. I personally located it near the Guardian Cocoon in Area 7. After running to the Guardian Cocoon, the Void Furry appeared on the adjacent wall.
Carefully observe the appearance of the environmental creature on the screen; it is relatively large and has a light blue color, so make sure not to catch the wrong one. Once found, use a capture net and throw it at it to complete the mission.
Star of the Sands
The sixth creature you need to capture is the Star of the Sands, which is a special request from the Sammin. This creature cannot be detected while wearing the invisibility suit. To spot it, use sound explosion bombs to immobilize it before capturing.
Additionally, it is currently speculated that the spawning conditions for this creature are during the Harvest or Abandonment phase of the Canyon Sand Plain environment, and it must be night. It will appear between Areas 11 and 16 of the Canyon Sand Plain.
Finding the Meteor Monster in Monster Hunter Wilds
Even if you meet all the requirements, this meteor may not always appear. Personally, I started from the northwestern camp in area 16 of the Sand Sea and ran toward area 11 to search for it.
If you don't find it, take a break and try searching again. When you finally spot it, it will dart away quickly. Remember to throw a sonic bomb first to immobilize it.
Then, use a capture net and throw it at the monster to complete the mission.
