Bow Strategy

My thought is that while rapid-fire yields great results, it's still important to maintain positioning, so using the sliding shot more frequently can be beneficial. The key point is to make good use of the bottle-loading action; this action has now become hard to master. Essentially, the core concept of using the bow has shifted to treating bottle loading as a swift attack method.

Additionally, since the J-rapid shot and quick shots allow for better bottle distribution, all handling should be based on the bottles you currently have. Make choices accordingly to maximize your efficiency in battle.

Introduction

The guiding arrows do not increase overall output ability, hence they are not used. This game has just been released, and the following strategies are based on my own experience. If you have other strategies, feel free to share.

1. Side Dodge

There is only one type of side dodge. The side dodge serves as an opening move, which can evolve into various techniques such as whip attacks, small explosions, and pressure moves. (Do not rush to chase arrows.)

2. Roars

There are four types of roars: quick roar, slow roar, head-turning roar, and form-changing roar.

  • Quick Roar - Activate when you see the head shaking and sliding (this occurs at the start).
  • Slow Roar - Activate upon seeing the head shake followed by a pause (this occurs with the red-eyed variant).
  • Head-Turning Roar - Activate when the head turns completely (usually appears in multiplayer missions).
  • Form-Changing Roar - Activate when the head begins to rise (this is associated with energy charging).

3. Elbow Strikes

There are two types of elbow strikes: with displacement and without displacement.

  • With Displacement (Close Range) - Activate when you see the hand raise and slide. (If you don’t slide back, you risk being hit.)
  • With Displacement (Long Range) - Slide sideways or navigate out of the hit area once you see the strike. (The hitbox is quite small; in multiplayer, it's best not to intentionally get hit to recover energy as it can easily lead to damage.)
  • Without Displacement - Just ensure to slide in front of the head. (The hitbox is very small; you can even stand still in the head's blind spot directly underneath to avoid it.)

1. Whip and Slash Techniques

Single Slash: There are two types: single and double strike. For single slashes, after seeing the monster's movement, sidestep towards the front position and shoot an arrow. For double strikes, execute the same action after the first attack (ensure not to perform excessively) and prepare to bottle up for the second hit.

2. Forward Pressure Techniques

Double Lock and Quad Lock: Both of these (can bottle up) should involve sidestepping towards the front position and shooting an arrow. (Sidestepping may cause damage unless you are close, so consider carefully).

3. Small Forward Jump

With and Without Attributes: When the monster is directly above you, sidestep to shoot an arrow (not sidestepping could lead to missing your shot).

4. Small Forward Bite

There is only one method. Wait until the monster's head touches the ground, then sidestep backwards to shoot an arrow (the judgment is slow, so do not rush).

5. Ground Sweep Technique

Left and Right: Both (can bottle up) should involve beginning the action and sidestepping in the opposite direction of the hand that was extended to shoot an arrow (this positioning will be better).

6. Circling Attack

There is only one method. The main threat is during the tail attack; once you see the tail, sidestep to avoid it (this usually happens in multiplayer missions and when positioning is off).

7. Big Jump

There is only one method to handle this attack.

Key Techniques for Monster Hunting

When faced with various monsters, players should approach the situation strategically. For instance, keep an eye on your surroundings and position yourself well as you evade attacks. Use a sliding maneuver to dodge and then quickly counterattack with arrows. The ability to adapt your actions based on the monster's movements is essential for success.

Combination Attacks

Triple Swing: There is only one sequence for this move, which involves going sideways twice and then forwards. After executing two side slides and colliding into the monster, lift your foot to prepare for the next slide while ensuring you maintain a close distance for an arrow shot.

Explosion Techniques

Types of Explosions: There are two kinds: large and small explosions.

  • Large Explosions: Execute a forward slide and shoot an arrow. If the hitbox and effects don’t align, you can walk away from the area of effect. Avoid relying on this technique until you've built up endurance.
  • Small Explosions: You can prepare a bottle while sliding once. This is an excellent opportunity for recovery since the initial movement is prolonged, allowing you to dodge and shoot arrows effectively. Bottling right away and sliding afterward increases your chances of a successful attack.

Tail Spike Attack

Single Type Tail Spike: This attack can be bottled. Watch carefully for the initiation animation; after observing it, execute a slide immediately. This attack typically occurs during multiplayer missions or when the positioning is off, so be prepared.
