Farming Bitterbugs in Monster Hunter Wilds
In Monster Hunter Wilds, Bitterbugs are essential materials for crafting boosters. If you’re looking for a quick way to gather them, check out the following farming route recommended by “yaarolk.” We hope this guide will be helpful for everyone.
Farming Route
To start, teleport to the Underground Waterway in Area 14 to begin your Bitterbug hunt.
If you don’t need Bitterbugs, feel free to find any tent to rest and initiate the next cycle. (Note: You can also use different maps to farm Flashbugs without resting, but the quantity will be less than during the harvest period.)
After teleporting to the Underground Waterway in Area 14, turn right and head into the small alley to catch the first Bitterbug.
Next, exit the alley, turn left into the cave entrance, and walk up. After climbing the vine, take a few steps forward to find the second Bitterbug (indicated by the guiding light).

Finding the Essential Insects in Monster Hunter Wilds
After turning the screen to the right, you will see the third Pain Insect.
After collecting the third Pain Insect, turn around to find another Undying Insect.
Next, follow the path upwards to the platform where you will find another Pain Insect to the front right.
After picking up this Pain Insect, continue climbing up the vines where you will find another Pain Insect on the left wall.
After collecting this Pain Insect, continue climbing out of the hole where there will be yet another Pain Insect.
Once you are done, you can enter the tent in area 13 to start the next cycle. Collecting the Pain Insects takes about 80 seconds.
