How to Query Special Products
In Monster Hunter Wilds, there are five maps, each with plenty of materials to collect, including some special products. Below are the special product collection routes and campsite recommendations for each map provided by "a3853848," which we hope will be useful to everyone.
Special Product Query Method
Once you open the map, a tent icon will appear in the lower left corner. Opening it will sequentially display the teleportation list, item filtering, environmental overview, and monsters. You can press the right direction button on the controller (or A on the keyboard) to select the types and items to display.
Note that just because an icon appears does not mean there are always items present; it merely records where you have been and what has appeared there. If the timing is off, rare special products will not appear. It is advisable to harvest during the abundance period, as not only will there be a greater quantity, but there will also be a chance to obtain higher quality special products.
Collecting the Rare Heavenly Aloe
For example, next to Camp 8 in the Sandy Plains, you can find the Heavenly Aloe. During the abandoned period or sandstorm, there's only one plant available.
However, during the harvest period, there will be five plants.
When harvesting the Heavenly Aloe, a special variant may sometimes be produced. Since it's collected from the regular Heavenly Aloe, geologists can be activated.
However, it's not possible to collect the rare product, the Majestic Heavenly Aloe.
Some safe points may have an extra recommendation for AFK farming, suitable for players who want to leave their game running overnight without worrying about electricity costs. Since Palicos frequently gather items nearby, certain materials naturally available around some camps become excellent spots for AFK farming.
For instance, the safety camp in Area 18 of the Forest has two Ivy Plants and a Resilience Seed. I left it on all night yesterday and collected this amount.

This map has a total of 13 locations that can be set as temporary camps.
There are a total of 10 types of special products on this map.
(Since the crystal block and gem are counted separately, so the giant aloe is counted separately; the image does not include Giant Abyss Aloe.)
Section 3: Southern Area
Safety Level: Unstable
Area 6 - Resource Location
Recommended Level: ★★☆☆☆
This area is not particularly dangerous, and the materials found nearby are fairly ordinary. Unfortunately, it is not highly recommended due to the presence of a better safe camp in Area 6 nearby. A unique feature in this area is that there are Moonlight Beauties above, but it requires some detours to reach them.
Area 4 - Ore Cave
Safety Level: Safe
Recommended Level: ★★★★★
Recommended for AFK: ???
This is a fantastic location, as there are three mining spots within the camp, alongside collection points for bones nearby. This area serves as a decent spot for temporarily stepping away while your companion gathers minerals in the vicinity. However, I noticed that after one successful mining attempt by your Palico, they stopped collecting. It is uncertain whether this is due to the mining spot being too close to the camp or if there is a bug with the mining behavior.
When I visited this location to take photos and edit the article previously, I did manage to collect some ore; however, after leaving it on AFK, no further collections were added. I might need to experiment with how to trigger the mining behavior again. Based on my experience with the AFK mining near the Wind Radish in Area 6, it seems that when AFK mining near the ore point, the Palico does not continue to gather resources.
Harvest Period Status: Two Additional Four-Leaf Floaty Available for Capture
Zone 4: Western Area
Safety Level: Dangerous
Recommendation Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆
It is unnecessary to choose this dangerous area for camping, as there is a nearby mining cave as a selection point. Moreover, it is just positioned between the safety camps in Zones 4 and 6, making this spot not ideal for camping.
Zone 6: Valley Hideout
Safety Level: Safe
Recommendation Rating: ★★★★☆
AFK Recommendation Rating: ★★★★☆
Just the safety level alone grants it three stars, and both sides of this camping spot have general special products to collect. Unfortunately, there are no rare special products available during the harvest season, but the outer area is very safe for AFK farming, where you can steadily collect Wind Reeds and some materials.
This location is a bit harder to find, so I'm posting a larger map. It's located in the cave near the third camping area.
Below are the AFK farming materials; however, it's unclear why there is a mining point but no mineral materials were collected.
Zone 8: Southwestern Area
Safety Level: Dangerous
Recommendation Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
Location Analysis for Gathering Resources in Monster Hunter Wilds
This area is too close to Wind Sound Village, and there are too few materials available to gather. The only special product, a Heavenly Abyss Aloe, is available throughout the entire period, thus recommending this spot is not advisable.
Zone 8 Southeast
Safety Level: Dangerous
Recommendation Level: ★★☆☆☆
This zone is quite easy to be devastated, but during the harvest period, there are five Heavenly Abyss Aloe plants and four honey spots available for gathering nearby. It’s still a decent gathering teleport point. However, if you don't mind a little trouble, you could prioritize the Overlook Hill in Zone 9. It’s not too far to come from there.
Zone 9 Overlook Hill
Safety Level: Unstable
Recommendation Level: ★★★☆☆
There’s nothing much around the camp, but there are gathering points for materials and three Sand Pepper fruits nearby, so it’s still okay for resource gathering.
Zone 10 Southeast
Safety Level: Dangerous
Recommendation Level: ★☆☆☆☆
This camp is too close to the camp in Zone 8. Although there are three Cotton Grass plants available for gathering nearby, it’s not recommended unless you're desperately in need later on.
Zone 13 Oasis
Safety Level: Dangerous
Recommendation Level: TBD
Section 12 - Harvesting Area
Recommended Rating: ★★☆☆☆. This area only earns two stars because there are rare items to collect during the harvest season. However, the safety camp in area 14 is actually better. It is not recommended to set up camp here when the number of available camp spots is limited.
Harvest Status: Giant Chasm Aloe (Morning) + 3 Common Chasm Aloe.
Section 13 - West Zone
Safety Level: Unstable. Recommended Rating: ☆☆☆☆. I cannot think of a reason to recommend this area. Neither during the desolate phase nor the harvest phase is there much to gather. At most, there is a spot that is somewhat hard to destroy, making quick movement possible while chasing monsters?
Section 14 - Underground Water Source
Safety Level: Safe. Recommended Rating: ★★★★★. Idle Recommendation Rating: ★★☆☆☆. There are rare items, specifically milky-white crystal blocks nearby, but the Ailu does not seem to assist in harvesting, so the items available for gathering are limited.
It is located right below the oasis of area 13, so generally, the oasis will not be chosen. You can reach it with the Great Horned Bird after just a short distance.
Section 16 - Bone Desert
Safety Level: TBD. Further exploration is encouraged to determine the resources available in this unique environment.
Northwest Area - Zone 16
Safety Level: Unstable
Recommendation: ★★☆☆☆
This area is discussed together with the previous one due to their close proximity (distance 169). The rare item, the Giant Abyss Aloe, is conveniently located between these two points, so feel free to pick either location. If you must choose, selecting the Bone Desert, which is slightly farther from the underground water sources, might be the better option.
Carmine Forest
Rare Product: Queen's Flower
Appearance Timing: It is estimated to be around the morning of the harvest period.
Products: To be announced later.
Northeast Area - Zone 12
Safety Level: Unstable
Recommendation: ★★★☆☆
Although this area is unstable, it is quite close to numerous common item gathering spots, which makes it acceptable for exploration.
When walking from the right side of the base camp towards the waterfall, there are two common item gathering points nearby.
Discover Underwater Treasures in Monster Hunter Wilds
Jump onto the rocks next to the waterfall, where you can dive into the water for collection (don’t worry about oxygen issues).
There are a total of 15 unique items underwater. After exploring for a while, you can return to shore to find two additional unique items and a Sunset Grass flower.
However, after reaching the shore, you will encounter a dead end. Be sure to return the way you came (you may also check the water for any missed items and catch some fish along the way).
